Extended Intake Manifold Studs for Honda Engines (50mm) - for V6 Engines (11 studs and 11 nuts).

This extended intake stud kit is designed to replace the OEM length studs found in most Honda/Acura heads. They will also work for most exhaust flanges if necessary. For Honda/Acura owners that want to take advantage of a thicker intake manifold gasket, such as the Hondata gasket, this stud kit enables one to do so by providing adequate threading to properly torque the manifold back down. OEM studs are not long enough for such gaskets. Attempts to use the OEM studs on thicker gaskets such as the Hondata have proven to strip the threads on the flanged nuts. The added length of this stud kit provides peace of mind to the end user that the intake manifold gasket will seal properly - preventing lean running conditions, and surging idles that can lead to permanent engine damage. Some manifolds, such as the b-series engines, have coolant passages that can leak when not the gasket is not properly torqued down. This stud kit will help ensure that the coolant stays in the engine rather than leaking out that seal. Studs are M8 x 1.25 x 50mm and are made of hardened steel, class 12.9 which exceeds OEM specifications. Nuts are Zinc coated class 10.0 hardened steel. The nuts are purposely harder than OEM, but softer than the steel used to make the studs in the event that one were to accidentally overtorque the nut, its threads would roll rather than the studs. This is simply a precautionary measure and an example of the exactness used during the design phase. Regardless, both stud and nut exceed OEM specifications in every way. These are not your average hardware store quality studs and nuts. Great care has gone into the research and development of this product. All studs have an Allen keyhole in the end for easy and secure installation into the head.
